Author Robert Farrar Capon discusses the unrealistically high expectations we place on sex, romance and marriage. (He thinks we tend to make “religions” out of these aspects of our lives. The higher our expectations, the more like a “religion” sex, romance, and marriage become for us.)

I saw a girl today that had a shirt that read “sinful”. My mind was blown. Why on earth would you want to commercialize that? Who WANTS to wear a shirt that publically displays that? I’m sorry for this girl though. And I apologize for putting it on my Tumblr. I don’t understand the need to wear a shirt like that.

I think we underestimate our God and how big he truly is.
We are talking about the God that made earth. Not impressed?
He created galaxies upon galaxies. One of which is incredibly astounding. It’s called the Whirlpool Galaxy:
Isn’t it incredible? All god had to do was breath, and it was created. It is 23 ± 4 million light-years away from the Milky Way galaxy which is where earth is located. The radius this galaxy is about 38,000 light-years. THAT’S HOW BIG IT IS! All God had to do was breath and it was created! Each little pink dot you see is creating a new star every second. Get this, the mass of this thing is estimated to be 160 BILLION solar masses. Wow. But that’s not nearly the most interesting part. The bright circle in the middle of the galaxy, looks like this:
You honestly don’t need anymore proof to see that God is so incredibly real and He puts His special touch on everything He creates. Our God is so good.
